Bus stops

The humble bus stop is the start of everyone’s journey. It needs to be a comfortable, clean place to wait with good up-to-date travel information.

During 2022/23 we are committed to installing:

  • Over 500 new illuminated shelters with seating at all high-use bus stops. 30 will be green roofed and bee-friendly.

  • Bus stop ‘totems’ at over 1025 Mainline and Greenline stops. Each will have joined-up printed timetable and fares information.

  • Over 650 of the totems will have real time information displays and text-to-speech facility for those with visual impairments.
