Key targets

We have two simple targets:

• • 10%+ increase in bus passengers

• • Bus user satisfaction at 90%

To fully achieve this the City Council will need:

Additional revenue funding of at least £5m pa

• Reduced fares for young persons and commuters

• Improved evening and Sunday frequencies

• Orbital bus service frequency to every 15 minutes

Devolved powers

• Full responsibility for buses and highways across Greater Leicester

• Bus registration and enforcement powers

• Funding and responsibility for the Bus Service Operator Grant

With current funding we can reach 90% transformation by 2030.

With a little extra funding we can get 100% transformation and fully meet our key targets.
