Progress

We’re already moving quickly with delivering much of the Plan, you can view our completed projects here.

These are the projects and changes now funded and with a binding partnership commitment to delivery within our Enhanced Partnership Scheme.

Further details about projects that we have already have secured funding for can be found under planned projects.

There are also a number of projects which we are awaiting and seeking funding for, details of these can be found here.

Customer Charter

A Bus Passenger Customer Charter was established in April 2023 in full consultation with a representative cross section of bus users.

This sets out for passengers what can be expected from both Leicester’s bus operators and the Council within the Leicester Buses partnership.

The Charter sets out certain standards of service to passengers, including:

  • punctuality and reliability

  • cleanliness of bus – inside and out

  • cleanliness of waiting infrastructure

  • accessibility of buses and waiting areas

  • information standards

  • ticketing and fares

It includes a mechanism for redress and feedback at a local level and a means to ensure these standards are met.

It also set out how the Partnership can be changed to reflect feedback from the public through a partnership forum (formed in September 2022).

The charter will be reviewed on a yearly basis, with consultation on any revised versions.

Your Views

We’re on an exciting journey with many twists and turns.

We’ve laid out our proposed 8-year plan, together with a delivery scheme for the next 3 years using the resources we’ve mustered to date.

This scheme is legally set up in a dynamic way so it can evolve over time. It will be reviewed every 6 months and varied through consensus.

However, to get future government funds the first stage of this scheme must be put in place by the end of March 2022.

All views you give us will therefore be considered by the partnership forum and feed into future changes to the scheme.
